In the middle of the night I woke up and found Lucy was sitting up in bed. Between me and the moonlight flitted a great bat, coming and going in great whirling circles.
14 August
Me and Lucy were silent for a while, when suddenly Lucy murmuredas if to herself... And a dark figured appeared.
August 14: Unusual Symptoms
She looks paler, and there is a haggard look under her eyes. I wish I could fin what is happening to her.
I was walking through the cliffs and suddenly I saw Lucy´s head by her window, I salutated her but she didnt respond, she was asleep lying up against the side of the window
17 August: A unexpected faint
Next to Lucy, I saw something that appeared like a giant sized bird, it was sitting on the window sill. I was afraid Lucy might get a chill so I went running to our room.
When I get to the room, she was moving back to her bed, fast asleep, and breathing heavily. She was holding her hand to her throat, as though to protect it from the cold.
Last night I found that she was in a faint. When I restored her she was weak as water, and cried silently between long, painful struggles for breath. When I ask how she came to be at the window she shook her head and turned away.
Nothing....
