What is a secondary message?
The secondary messages carries verbal or non-verbal elements. However, they are mostly communicated unintentionally.
I agree with that! Secondary message are the impressions we have that could make a person assume his own interpretation describing our character for example; our environment. Wearing messy clothes as well as having a messy surrounding at your place conveys a message already to the person you're talking with.
And it goes another way around if your place is clean and you wear a decent clothes coveys that you're an organized person right?
that's true! If I put bunch of books in my room or office, my visitor would assume that I love reading books or I love to study, if I put bunch of magazines and pictures about famous bands as well as placing musical instruments in my office, my visitor would assume as well that I love music or probably I am a musician.
so whether your visitor is right about his assumptions or not, those basic elements conveys a message already?
