During my exploration I was the first to discover the Pablo Duro Canyon, Grand Canyon, and Pacific Ocean. Since there was no gold, Spain lost interest in Texas for a period of time.

I am La Salle, a French explorer who accidentally arrived at Texas Matagorda Bay instead of Mississippi. I built Fort St. Louis, claiming it for France, but then got killed by my own 7 remaining men while coming back. The Spanish saw the fort and became interested in Texas again. Spain built missions in East Texas to keep the French out.

This attempt failed miserably since I was an unlicensed doctor and the patient passed in the first 9 minutes of operation. I was sentenced to prison for 24 years plus 13 more years in a mental hospital, and I died in my cell while asleep at 21 years old. This taught people that some things do not need to be brought back.
