- I am Aisha! These are my friends Jamal and Brittany!We share something in common with one another and YOU called type 1 diabetes. It's an autoimmune disease that affects things you eat, how you move and your lifestyle.

- Whether you are new to your diagnosis, or have been caring for yourself for a while, we are here to help!

- Your blood sugar levels can fluctuate (that means go up and down) whether you are at school, home, or play. It's SUPER important to keep track of your blood sugar levels at all times and this can be difficult at times.

- You may be thinking you are different from your friends, and while they may not have to check their sugar levels or get injections or wear an insulin pump, in many ways you are the exact same as them!
