and now a group called the boxers formed and started a rebellion, their goal being to drive away foreigners with force, even killing the foreigners
to end the rebellion the representatives of the dowager empress who had convinced the boxers to unite forces with chi'ing dynasty. they had sued for peace and the terms for the agreement were the harshest imposed by the western powers
after the wars and now the rebellion
