- Moving to Texas
- A person whos close to me (my mom)
- something I've overcome
- I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and when I was 3 years old my parents made me move to Texas. This was completely different from anything I had ever been exposed to, not only was the language different but the culture and the way people associated with each other was different. But moving to Texas has made me the person I am today, and I never forgot about where I came from.
- siempre te querre
- My mom has always been close to me and will forever be my best friend. Every night we used to sit on my bed and we would talk to each other about life right before going to sleep. I was able to talk to her about anything knowing that she would help me and support me and understand me. 
- Hurricane Maria
- As a child I've always gotten bullied for the way I look because I wasn't as pretty as the other girls. There was a time when I was on the bus and all the boys on the bus started telling me that I was so ugly and pointing out everything bad about me and telling me why no one would like me unless I changed myself. And this helped me realize that I need to be confident about myself because no everyone is always going to like me. 
- Every night my mom and I used to read this book and it was called siempre te querre. There was a song inside the book and my mom and I would sing it together, and that book has become my favorite book and I have a special connection to it.
- Hurricane Maria impacted my life because most of my family lives in Puerto Rico and that's exactly where hurricane Maria hit. So my family was struggling to keep their lives together and for months they didn't have electricity, gas, and much food. My family in Texas sent stuff to my family so that they could have the resources they needed but it was a very eye-opening experience.
