The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street by Rod Serling, one of the main themes is violence doesn't solve problems. First weird things started on maple street. The power, telephone, and cars were not working. They blamed it on a mentor but no one knows for sure what it was. Next Charle ,Steve and Don were fitting over a gun. That charle got so he could shoot the monster that was walking to them. Charlie grabbed the gun and shot it, but when they saw who it was they all got mad at charle that shot Pete van Horn. Then Everyone was chasing Charlie to his house where he said look,look I swear to you it is not me it is Tommy on page 83- 84 Sally said 'That is crazy he is just a little boy.' Everyone scream and questioned How did he know? He was right about all the things that happened! So in conclusion, Violence doesn't solve problems in the story The Monster are Due on Maple Street
