Mental ilness can look like many different things, they can look completely normal oe they can have more explicit symptoms, like agitation, confusion, or withdrawals.
Mental illness and disorders is a very wide range of conditions. Disorders affect moods thought processes, and behaviours while illnesses are more axniety, depression, disorders and addictive behaviours

did you know, Mental disorders have been considered many different things for example, in the past it was considered a sign of possession, the influence of the moon. Now people think these disorders are rooted deeply into biology.
Mental health problems also , can be passed down. For example, people with bipolar disorder share the same chromosomal mutation. Poor sleep, and bad eating. Can effect how a baby is “wired”. Causing mental/psychological disorders in the future.

1in 5 americans experience some form of mental illness. 17% of ages 6-17 experience mental illness aswell. But how we treated it has changed dramatically over the years, like trephination, it dates back to the earliest days in mental health history.
Its a process of removing a piece of someones skull. This was almost 7,000 years ago. When mental illness was though to be a sign demonic possession. As of today we have many safe options to treat mental illness like, biomedical treatment and increased access to care.
