The First thing We are Talking about is the Declaration of Independence(July 2 1776). Which is of great significance. This was created by the delegates or representatives from each of the states declaring independence from British rule.
The Articles of Confederation (march 1 , 1781) were then created trying to form a better Government. With the New Jersey plan (Nov 20, 1789)and the Virginia plan (1787) advocating a structure for the government. They created the 3 branches of government. The Judicial which evaluates laws, Legislative makes laws, and Executive carries out those laws.
And we will be talking about the 3/5th compromise, ratification, and the constitutional convention. The 3/5th compromise let enslaved people count as 3/5 of a person for taxation and representation purposes. This was ratified in 1787. And finally the constitutional convention was created to ensure that the constitution was being uphold deciding over many issues.
Another important part of our United States was the Connecticut Compromise (July 16, 1787) which created 2 houses. The first being the Senate which has equal representation for all states. And 2nd the House of Representatives where votes are proportional to population.
With the people trying to create a government 2 parties emerged federalists and Anti Federalists(1788). The first supports the government having a stronger rule. This later decided our now separation of powers with split our government into the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive branches.
