- Everyone is excited to see the sun. Margot is the only one who remebers the sun the children don't like her for that and many other reasons.
- Before the children go outside they decide to lock Margot in the closet.
- the children all go outside(minus Margot) and they play in the sun for the first time.
- One hour later it begins to rain as it will do for the next seven years.
- On their way back inside one kid remembers that they locked margot in the closet.
- In the end the children let Margot out of the closet.
