Uncle Katusuhisa is immature. Katie and Lynn were in uncle's car when they left Iowa. He is immature because he taught Lynn and Katie to spit. It is gross that he is teaching his nieces to spit.
I lost Bera-Bera and never even noticed
Lynn is a kind big sister. Lynn always is caring for Katie. As stated in the book Lynn never treats Katie like a baby. She is always upfront and real with her.

Katie's dad was proud of her even when things weren't going his way. Katie wet herself and he was still proud of her. He didn't care but Katie's mom did. Even if Katie does anything bad her dad will always be there for her and proud.
Katie loved her new brother Sam. When Lynn was studying late she would take him out of his crib and sleep with him in her bed. She loved him so much that she forgot about Bera-Bera. She couldn't sleep without Bera-Bera but know that she has Sam she didn't notice.
Katie's mom was very overprotective. She would tell Katie to be careful even though she was just walking up the stairs. Katie's mom is just looking out for her but sometimes it is a little to much. Her mother is to worried about Katie getting hurt.
