Rep. Roberts Rep. Will, did you know Colorado's long-term care facilities toss out 17.5 tons of potentially reusable drugs each year, worth about $10 million?
We did not, Sen. Rodriquez! We need to do something about this problem to increase medication access for all Coloradans!
Madam Chair, I'd like to introduce Senate Bill 22-098!
This bill will create a task force to examine the creation of a program allowing for the use of donated unused drugs.
The Skaggs School of Pharmacy supports increased access to essential medicines.
Young Invincibles believes access to essential medicines would increase the quality of life for many.
The Chief Pharmacy Inspector for the State of Colorado encourages the creation of a successfuldrug repository program.
The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative believes this bill will make major progress toward equity, affordability and quality for all Coloradans.
The Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition thinks that a repository program can lower prescription drug spending.
The Association for Accessible Medicines hopes that the committee will fast-track this process to help underserved communities getaccesstoquality healthcare.
