- The peasants and bourgeoisies of the Third Estate were enraged that they had to pay all the tax.
- We are paying too much tax and our children are almost starving!
- In the old town of Paris...
- The King needs to fix this fast! What are the royals even doing?
- Meanwhile, King Louis XVI and Queen Marie spent a tremendous amount of money and held feasts and balls, which took a part in France's financial crisis.
- The First (clergy) and Second (nobles) enjoyed their luxuries also, without paying tax. This enraged the Third Estate even more.
- Revolutionary ideas were beginning to come out and the Third Estate created the National Assembly with bourgeoisies in lead.
- The National Assembly finallymanaged to draft a Constitution of 1791 after all chaos.
- Why should we be the ones to pay all the tax and get no political rights?
- We should stand up and fight for our rights!
- When the Estates-General(parliament) got overwhelmed by the revolutionaries and eventually locked them out of the meetings, the National Assembly pledged to not disband until they came up with a new Constitution (Tennis Court Oath).
- The National Assembly raided the Bastille prison to get more weapons and gunpowder. The tricolor flag of the modern day France was adopted after this.
- On 1789, they approved the Declaration of the Rights of Man.
- King Louis accepted the new Constitution on later on and agreed on having constitutional monarchy with 3 branches of government. France was finally in a peaceful state, at least for that short amount of time.
