- Graydon just moved to a new town and started high school there. There's been a big football kid named Zachary bullying him lately and one day he got sick of it and decided to stand up for himself. He fought Zachary and ended up winning with a lucky knockout. Someone got it on video and posted it online.

- The owner of a local boxing gym saw the video and went to recruit him. His mom wouldn't let him because he was just suspended for fighting. “We teach self defense and discipline, plus that kid might want revenge, do you want your kid getting hurt?” Later that night she talked it over with Graydon and they agreed he would just use it for self defense
