- After high school, men are more likely to enter the workforce than women. Most jobs they enter do not require a college degree due to on the job training with men having access to higher pay sooner. Also, many of these jobs do not hire women.
- “It seems to me that women being more successful in high school along with universities putting more effort into their female audiences has a major effect, but are there any other reasons to consider?”
- The pay gap is a part of culture that has been expected for decades and decades, along with many personal decisions. In this scenario, the pay gap is not related to an issue of finding similar paying jobs.

- The Covid-19 pandemic has also played a major role in the enrollment of college, and can even be traced back to certain ethnic and racial groups.

- There should not be a reason between a pay gap and an academic performance to depict between if men should or should not apply to college. Instead, an individual should make the best decision that is best tailored to their future needs, goals, and aspirations.
- “Racial and ethnic achievement gaps persist and were even exacerbated by the pandemic in some cases. These are complex issues tied to economic conditions and unjust social structures”
- The pandemic has resulted in many complications that come with completing a degree, especially the times that it can now take to accomplish this goal.
