Ancient Greece started developing around 2000 BCE. Greece had barely any farmland and did not depend on any rivers. Instead, they depended on thew Mediterranean sea. This led them to become expert sailors.
The Beginning of the End
The Greeks used the Mediterranean sea to their advantage by becoming expert sailors. They were exposed to new people,cultures, and ideas.
The Battle of Troy
The Greeks came up with probably the best idea: democracy! For the first one time the people had a say in the government Besides from creating this idea, they learned may more from other cultures.
The End of Troy
Prince Paris met Helen on his trips and he fell in love with her. Little did he know that she was Queen and already married. The Greek king woke up one day only to find his wife gone.
The Greek king was enraged by this so he declared war on Troy. The war went on for ten years however the Greek was having trouble getting through to save Helen since Troy was surrounded by high walls.
Until one soldier came up with a idea to give a "gift" but inside were Greek soldiers and they would lead the other Greek soldiers who left back into Troy. Then when everyone was sleeping they snuck out , saved Helen, and burned Troy to the ground.
