- However, when the Cherokee settlements were attacked by the french,sc colonists did not help.
- fight broke out between the cherokee tribes and the colonists
- The Royal governor of SC ended all trade with the Cherokee and some as hostages
- the cherokee war lasted two years with both side suffering major losses and ended in 1763
- cherokee were forced to give up most of their land and live in “Cherokee Territory” west of the SC Colony.
