Rosa was waiting for the bus home from a tiring day at work.In those days, buses were separated by white and black passengers.
She sat in an empty seat on her side, when at one point a white man came in and wanted to take her sit. Rosa refused and for that was imprisoned.

She was arrested in the afternoon and released on the evening of December 1, 1955, thanks to bail posted by Clifford Durr and Edgar Nixon. The trial took place on December 5, 1955, lasted about 30 minutes, and resulted in a fine.
Now Rosa Parks is a symbol for freedom and civil rights for people of color.
