I was helping Maxie with homework....
The text stated, " I longed for Stick or even father...They could do something, anything, to make it stop...But not me" (Magoon 66-67). This shows that Sam wanted to help Bucky, but he didn't want to use violence.
Chapter 12Sam being brave.
The author wrote, " The heat rose up and held me...It pressed close to me, pushed it's way inside...I surrendered to the wave, to the fire... I picked up a brick from the sidewalk and flung it through the store window..." ( Magoon 97). This shows that Sam is changing, and he is starting to get upset with everything so he is choosing violence.
Chapter 15Sam wants to go with the BPP.
Sam stated, "' Maxie needed some help with math, so I came and showed her' why did I have to lie...The shards already loose in me dug deeper"(Magoon 131) ? This shows that Sam was starting to lie just like Stick, and Sam never used to lie, so this shows change.
The author wrote, "...everything changed...I lifted the gun from the pavement, stood up, and pointed it at the man..." (Magoon 188).
Sam said, "'I'm coming too...I turned to follow Stick"' (Magoon 208-209).
