The French and Indian War, otherwise known as 7 year war, lasted for nine years. It caused a lot of debt in Britin as solders cost money. The French and the Native Amaricans teamed up, and wanted North Amirica. This made the colinists angry because they were forced to fight in Britins war and they got nothng from it.

The Stamp Act was an act that required all papers to be stamped, or they can't be published. The colanists quickly started revolting, and Britin quickly reapealled it.
All papers must be stamped! stamps cost 1 pound each!

The Olive Branch Petitionwas the last straw of theSecond Continental Congress trying to avoid war and conflict between Britian and to get King George ||| to attened to the colinist's needs. This was also an attemept to settle the differences and make things more fair.
