Storyboard Text

  • Hello, dear travelers! My name is Luis, and I will be telling you about some of the etiquette, rules, and culture of South Korea.
  • The best time to visit South Korea is between March and May, in order to see the vibrant pink of the cherry blossoms in bloom.
  • Let's talk about greetings! When shaking hands, the right hand is used for the handshake while the left hand holds your wrist. Also, make sure to bow your head slightly. This is done to show respect towards elders.
  • The country has an amazing public transportation system. You can use buses, subways, and taxis to get around. It is incredibly easy and cheap.
  • What are some things to not do in South Korea?Speak loudly in publicReceive or give things with one handEat before the eldersDrink while facing the elders (Must turn sideways)These are all considered impolite or rude behaviors.
  • South Korea still revolves around the traditional customs and values of Confucianism. Every person must speak politely to elders using a specific honorific speech.
