- Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am currently a senior at MIT. I am very happy where I am now but as a first-generation college students I didn't really look at the vibe of a school.

- Before I was assigned a college advisor, I didn't realize that my peers were already thinking about the college process and strategizing.

- I didn't prioritize quality of life in my college process, I just wanted to go to the best school possible for mechanical engineering.

- Hello, my name is Michael and I am a first-year student at the University of Chicago. As a first-generation college student, I found it easy to be authentic and share my passions in the application process.

- However, it was really scary to develop a college list as I haven't really heard of many colleges except for places like Harvard and Yale.

- While I enjoy where I am now, I did not pay attention to quality of life of a school or a vibe check.

- Hi, my name is Helen and I am a first-year student at Georgetown. I really enjoy it here but as a first-generation college students, I ended up here despite me not knowing what to do.

- I knew my college list couldn't be filled with Ivies so I didn't have a dream school. Georgetown was my "Plan B." I didn't have a dream school or a Top 10.

- Hello, my name is Anthony and I am a first-year student at Northeastern University. I worked with an outside organization which helped me prioritize different aspects of the college process.
