- Labor issues that were prevalent during the Progressive era:Child labor was a big issue as children would work long hours like adults and get paid less.Poor safety conditions such as working with dangerous machines, unsafe buildings, and no real safety regulations were a big issue.Workers worked long hours with little rest and struggled to negotiate with their employers.
- Some of the ways these problems were combated were by creating safety regulations, creating labor unions for workers, and the creation of child labor laws.Government regulations such as the Keating-Owen Child labor act were used. Also, also the American Federation of Labor was a workers union that advocated for better conditions and pay.

- Some issues that the women's rights movement had:The National Association Opposed to Women's Suffrage was a group that actively worked against women's rights.Women were challenged by traditional gender stereotypes.
- The National American Woman Suffrage Association was created to advocate for women's rights to vote and assisted in the passing the 19th amendment.Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Carrie Chapman Catt were leaders of the movement and then Congress passed the 19th amendment.

- Some of the issues that stemmed from urbanization and immigration were:Overcrowding in some cities due to more immigrants arriving in search of jobs at factories.Overcrowding and inadequate infrastructure led to increased disease. Immigrants faced discrimination from nationalists.
- Settlement houses offered social services, education, and support to immigrants. Reformers worked to combat corrupt governments and improve living conditions, this was aided by the passing of laws to address public health.
- Prominent figures such as Jane Addams and Ida Tarbell led reform movements to address these issues.
