- Original1. Little Red Riding Hood gets package from mom and leaves to grandma.2. Begins to walk on trail to Grandma's house than encounters wolf.3. Wolf beats Riding Hood to grandma's house and eats her grandma.4. When Riding Hood enters and gets too close, the Wolf eats her whole. 5. Hunter passing by hears commotion and kills the wolf and saves them both.
- This is the original mutation of Little Red Riding Hood. This mutation affects the gene by changing nothing to the original story. The final product was not affected by the mutation at all.

- This is the deletion version of Little red riding hood. Deletion is when a segment of DNA is lost, so there is a missing segment in the chromosome. This references the story because by using deletion, we remove the point in the directions where the hunter saves everyone, leaving the wolf to eat without interruption. The final story shows the wolf eating both characters and because there is no hunter, they don't get saved. This version is most likely not going to be able to spread due to the fact that the main character is dead and not able to pass on this trait. This mutation is not beneficial to the story because it removes a large plot point.

The 2 HUNTERS passing by hears commotion and kills the wolf and saves them both.
- This is the duplication version of Little Red Riding Hood. Duplication is when a segment of DNA is repeated, creating a longer chromosome. The directions show instead of Riding Hood being saved by one hunter, she gets saved by two. The final product was affected by the mutation because now the number of hunters are duplicated making the wolf easier to kill. This mutation is more likely to spread due to the hunters being doubled and nobody crucial dying. This mutation is beneficial to the story because the wolf dies faster and causes less harm to the main character.
