- Greetings, Mayan King! I am an Egyptian Pharaoh!
- Sure! Let's start here. I represent the gods on Earth. All pharaohs are of the same line and make sure the gods are pleased.

- At least people want to be warriors here. In Egypt, most soldiers get no respect! I'm lucky to be at the top.
- I'm so glad scribes get to read and write! I sometimes even get direct contact with the priests, who are the most learned. They're very wise! Like your kingdom, nobles aid the ruler and help make decisions.
- That's because you don't have many wars. You don't know what a real warrior is.
- In Egypt, priests like me perform ceremonies and sometimes advise the pharaoh. The scribes do most writing and the nobles help rule land.
- We both sell goods that craftsmen make!

- We farmers don't have a lot of power but are still respected because we grow all the food.
- We are both slaves. We are treated badly and don't have any rights.
- Mayan slaves are sometimes sacrificed for the gods. I hope I won't be!
- Wow! I wish it was like that for us! Farming is just as important, but we aren't respected. We can even be called for human sacrifice!
