Dally, Ponyboy, and Johnny where sitting at Dairy Queen. Dally was talking about how Cherry Valance is now a spy for the greasers. Then Johny had the idea to turn himself in, everybody's jaw dropped to the ground.
The three boys where sitting in the car coming back from dairy queen. Ponyboy got a letter from Sodapop saying that Darry was really worried about him. Pony boy thought that Darry didn't care about him.

WHen they arrive the church was on fire. The fire was as hot a the sun. A man told them what happened and it turned out that 4-5 children where trapped inside

Ponyboy hastily ran inside the church and saved the kids. He was quick but very carful.
Ponyboy woke up in the hospital, he told the man about running away and what happened earlier. Ponyboy was shocked to find out that he's not going to jail.
Ponyboy was sitting in the waiting room when suddenly Darry and Sodapop came in. He decided to forgive Darry and realized that he was just worried about him.
