- The capital of Tennessee is Nashville. Some of the other major cities include Knoxville, Memphis, Chattanooga, and Clarksville.
- Tennessee's state nickname is the Volunteer State. Its state motto is "Agriculture and Commerce" due to its agricultural diversity.

Over 500,000 tourists visit the estate each year. It is one of the most famous homes in the country, second only to the White House.
