- We have thought about how selfish it is for the mother to decide something only for her own good, that is not morally right at all. Why would the innocent fetus be punished for the situations he or she was not involved in the first place?
- It's easy to look at this situation through the perspective of our culture's norms. I have strong feelings regarding abortion, but with those strong feelings comes a lot of internal conflict over what is ethically correct. My initial response when thinking about abortion and what it entailed was how terrible it was that they kill a baby. In my mind, that sounded like murder and was ethically wrong. But I couldn't tell myself that some pregnant women, particularly those who have been raped or are teenagers, would not hesitate to get an abortion.
- Abortion, regardless in rare cases, is morally repugnant.
- Even though a fetus utilizes a woman's body as a life-support system during pregnancy, a woman does not use a fetus's flesh as a functional state. The right to life of a fetus does not include the right to utilize someone else's body to sustain its life.
- As opposed to abortion, I believe that a woman's freedom to use her own body does not imply her right to kill somebody else's life on track to do what she desires through her own.
