There is an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0, we are in a dangerous position so please go to your most secure area. That being under a secure desk, secure table, and if you are outside, stay there.
It is currently January 18th, 1984 and an incredible earthquake confirmed to have a magnitude of 7.0 is terrorizing the city. Currently, almost 9,430 houses have been damaged causing 191 million dollars of damage. We’ve had over 76 people killed and 620 people injured. It is still dangerous outside, the special forces are saving everyone, don’t move. It may take a while because 682 public buildings have been destroyed, and 714 were partially destroyed.

Now that we are moving past this atrocity, we will be covering all the damage that was caused. There were 10,502 homes destroyed, 25,818 homes partly destroyed, 682 public buildings destroyed and 784 public buildings partially destroyed. The earthquake had an incredibly scary depth of 20km.
