- In this story, a Lunar is a genetically mutated human lives on the moon and can manipulate humans on Earth to do whatever they want. Evil Queen Levana rules the Lunars.
- (n.) A state of isolation in which one is placed if they have been exposed to an infectious or contagious disease. In the story, those who contracted letumosis were placed in quarantine.
- (n.) A fictional person whose physical abilities are beyond normal human functions due to the fact that they have mechanical elements built into the body. Cinder is a cyborg.
