- Yes, due to lack of demand, our supplies are overflowing and were losing money because of it.
- I'm sorry to say this, but since we are losing so much money I'm going to have to let you go.
- Wait, I have an idea, what if we create a newer model of our products and release them to the public to increase the demand for our products.
- That might just work.
- Kevin is upset and calls a meeting with Bill to tell him about how their business is going.
- As an example our customers will want our new products and potentially need others. In conclusion our customers will be driven to buy our products.
- Kevin is informing Bill that since Kevin's company is losing so much money he will have to fire Bill to save money from paychecks.
- Lastly, since we are using the Market Economy we can choose the prices for our products.
- Bill gives Kevin a couple of reasons to not fire him by explaining that since their demand is down that they should create newer products to sell so more people will be interested in them.
- Hooray!! Can I get a raise too?
- Thanks to your idea to sell more products and to help make our business money you are going to be able to keep your job.
- No, get back to work
- Bill also explains how Kevin's business contains wants and needs that people buy everyday.
- Bill explains to Kevin that since they're using the Market Economy, they are able to change the prices on their products. If they were told by the government what prices their products would be it would be a Command Economy.
