- We're going to go with my friends Carbon and Sulphate too! Together, w're known as calcium carbonate and calcium sulphate.
- Hi there! I'm Calcium, but you can call me Ca. Today we're going to take a trip through the ecosystem to explore how I enter your body to make it stronger!
- When animals and plants decompose, I get mixed into soil from their body and work as a bonding agent for fertilizers!
- I am the second macronutrient in this soil, which helps the plants grow because I strengthen soil and its compounds!
- Then, plants take me in from their roots as Calcium ions and I provide food for plants! Isn't that cool? When I'm consumed by organisms or plants, I enter the ORGANIC PHASE!
- But you need to careful while choosing soil, if the plant gets greedy, it will have an unbalance pH value.
- When you animals eat calcium rich food and plants, I enter their body! I also help lay eggs sometimes!
- But when humans hunt animals, I have again transferred from their body to yours.
- You're probably wondering, why do I need this little guy in my body? I can live without it right? Well, you'd be wrong!
- I stimulate muscle contractions too! So technically I'm the reason you can run around and play all day!
- Without me, your bones would be weak and brittle, I help strengthen them keep your bones and teeth healthy!
- Now make sure to eat calcium rich foods properly, but not too much!. I can help you prevent diseases like weak teeth and osteoporsis
- So I traveled from fertilizer, to plants, to animals and finally, to your body!
