Storyboard Text
- The Beginning
- I am an Ice Cube. I am H20 in my solid form. I'm just waiting for the dentist right now, and am kind of nervous, and I am sweating.
- But, this isn't ordinary sweating, I am actually melting.
- The Pool
- Now I am in my liquid form. This means that I can take up any form.
- But the sun has been really strong these last few days so...
- Clouds
- Now I am in a cloud! When the Sun got too hot, I abosred some of the energy and became a gas!
- When I am in my gas form, my particles move around really quickly because of the increased energy.
- Melting happens when there is an increase in temprature.
- Airplane
- Oh no! I have been swept away by an airplane! I have turned into a snowflake!
- Snowy Mountains
- But the snow around me is smoking. We are all turning into water vapor. This process is called sublimation. This happens when we go from our solid form to our gas form without our liquid stage.
- Now i am back into my solid form. I ended up on a mountain after I fell of the airplane.
- This process is called evaporation
- Grass
- When a substance goes from a gas to a solid without a liquid stage, it is called deposition.
- Since the temprature dropped so quickly, I skipped my liquid stage and went staright to my solid stage.
- Sublimation happens when the particles absorb enough energy to skip the liqudi stage.
- Condensation happens when it gets very cold outside.
- It is the next morning and I am dew. Dew is the result of a vapor turning into a liquid. This process is called condensing. This often happens in clouds. My particles start to slow down in this process.
