THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I DECLARE THE INTOLERABLE ACT AS A PUNISHMENT.
After the Boston Massacre, as a gesture of goodwill and to create awin-win situation between the colonists and the he British Parliament , the Tea Act was created. The British Parliament repealed the taxes of the Townshend Act except the tax in tea. This act gave the right to the East Indian Company to ship its tea directly to the colonies without first landing in it in England. However this didn't followed colonists main slogan at that time, No taxation without representation, therefore this did nothing but made them angry.
Colonists were not happy about the Tea Act, they boycotted British tea. In December 16th of 1773, 60 men believed to be the Sons of Liberty, dressed as Mohawk Indians and jumped three East India Company trading ships, and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor water. This Tea Party was celebrated as a symbol of protest against the English Parliament.
As a punishment of the Boston Party, the Intolerable Act was written. This act closed Boston Harbor from all shipping until the ruined tea was paid for. Town meetings were no longer allowed, and more read coats were send to American colonies. This meant that colonists now had provide more British soldiers shelter, food than they did the last time.
