- (in order) Mirren, Cadence and Johhny were all cousins who were very close, at least during the summer. Gat comes with Johnny every summer. They live during the summer on a private island with four great big mansions. they like to present that they live a perfect life. 
- climax / turning point 
- they became such a close group of friends even if they are related, over the summer, and they called themselves the liars. they had the perfect life for teenagers getting to spend every summer together. 
- falling action 
- Cadence and Gat fall in love and spend all of their time together. Gat gives her rose petals and books to read. they get each other and understand each other, even though Gat might have had a girlfriend. They fell in love with each other. 
- resolution / conclusion
- During summer fifteen, Cadence wakes up in a hospital bed with only her mother and grandfather around her. she cannot remember anything about the accident, before or after. she can't even remember events that happened weeks before the accident. she has a head injury. 
- Cadence now remembers what happened and how she got her head injury. Cadence and the rest of the liars planned on burning one of the houses down to stop the arguing between the aunties. Cadence now knows that the past summer, the liars were there because they knew she needed them. Johnny, Mirren and Gat died in the fire. 
- When Johnny, Mirren and Gat have to leave Cadence they say their final goodbyes and tell Cadence to not put all the blame on herself because they had all agreed to set the fire. cadence starts talking to her little cousins and hanging with them to deal with her grieve.
