- Oh me? I'm just making myself some food.
- Woah, what are you doing there buster?
- But how, you don't have hands though, do you?
- Don't worry, it's pretty simple actually.
- Of course, I am the expert here. Also it's called Photosynthesis, not making myself some food.
- Really?
- First, the Carbon Dioxide passes through an opening in the leaf called the Stomata
- While both Carbon and Water are going to leaves. A molecule called chlorophyll is absorbing the Radiant Energy from the Sun.
- During the Carbon Dioxide entering, the roots of the plants soak up water from the ground, which are carried through the xylem from the roots, to the stems and leaves.
- Those are the first steps of photosynthesis i'm guessing.
- Why yes, In fact I do.
- Now, after all the Carbon, Water and Radiant energy was absorbed, the plant breaks down the Carbon and the Water molecules, using the Radiant energy. Then they build glucose
- Do you know anything about Photosynthesis?
- Glucose is a simple sugar, which acts as a food source for plants.
- After glucose was made, and there is remaining oxygen left over, they create a molecule which consists of only two oxygen molecule, since oxygen is a waste product to plants., so the plants release it into the atmosphere.
- You are a plant correct, can you tell me something about photosynthesis?
- Interesting, very interesting.
- All of photosynthesis is just a common process for plants. Plants use it everyday to survive.
- Photosynthesis, takes place in a cell called cloroplast, cloroplast is the cell that contains chlorophyll which abosrbes radiant energy.
- The main question is, is where does this happen in a plant?
