- Skluzavka: 1
- "'Please, everyone,' Mr. Ortega held up a hand. 'Allow me to finish...the reminder of my estate,' Mr. Ortega read, ' including all properties, monatray assets, and worldly possessions not otherwise specified, I leave to Avery akylie Grambs" (38).
- "'He left everything to her?' Skyes's voice was shrill enough to break through my stupor. 'Why'" (39).
- '"This in not happening. This cannot be happening. I'm dreaming. I'm delusional" (39).
- Tobias Hawthorne, one of the richest people, passed away. This scene is his will reading, with everyone stated in the will being present. The grandfather, Tobias, was supposed to leave his fortune to his family, but they're all surprised when nobody in his family received all of his outnes and it went to Avery.
- Skluzavka: 2
- "'Get down!'... Jameson grabbed me and pulled me toward the ground" (215).
- "'Are you ok, Avery?' Oren doubled back. 'Jameson, is she okay?'" (215).
- '"This, as in a bullet. Someone had just tried to shoot us. Me... They weren't aiming for jameson'" (216).
- Jameson and Avery were out in the woods trying to figure out the puzzle the grandfatheir left to them. They eventually got shot at and it almost got in her skn. when they got shot at. Avery was safe with just some scratches.
- Skluzavka: 3
- "'The night of the shooting, I saw someone else in the tunnels. I didn't say anything, because Emily wouldn't have wanted me too..."' (343).
- "'No, ' Rebecca said quickly. "Their mother" (343).
- "'Who else was there?' I waited. Nothing. 'Rebecca, who else was in the tunnel with Drake"' (343).
- Avery is at the end of the mystery, when it leads her to a basement. She is met with Rebecca, Emily's sister, who expressed what she saw the night of Avery's shooting.
