Boudicca is known for being a warrior queen of the Iceni people, who lived in what is now East Anglia, England. In 60–61 CE she led the Iceni and other peoples in a revolt against Roman rule. Although her forces massacred some 70,000 Romans and their supporters, they were ultimately defeated.
According to the Roman chronicles, Boudica summoned the goddess Andraste, the divinity of victory, and from the folds of her tunic, a hare emerged, an animal venerated by the Druids, which immediately ran in the direction of the Roman troops. This was interpreted as a good omen and preparations for war began.
What happened to Boudicca is uncertain. It is possible that he returned to his home territory and took poison to avoid Roman capture. As a result of the rebellion, the Romans strengthened their military presence in Britain but also lessened the oppression of the Roman government.
After a long and prosperous life, the Iceni king Prasutagus named the emperor and his two daughters co-heirs.
With this template, Prasutagus hopes to protect his kingdom and homeland from possible attack. However, the results were different.
(After his death) both his kingdom and his house were plundered as trophies, the former by Roman officers and the latter by Roman slaves. First, his widow Boudica was whipped and her daughters were raped.
