Madhavi is the Daughter of King Yayati. She was a beauty and had the ability to restore her virginity.
The sage had asked the king to give him 800 horses but the king couldn't comply so he offered his daughter instead saying that she will bear 4 kings and for each man that the sage find he will give him 200 horses
The sage had found 3 men who wish to father children so he got 600 horses. A few years later Madhavi gave birth to four sons, after doing this she went back to her father.
Several years later the king died and went to heaven but was soon kicked out because he exhausted his merits. King Yayati soon found Madhavi and told her why he was kicked out of heaven.
Madhavi felt sorry for her father and went to her sons who were now great kings asking them to give a portion of their merits to their grandfather. The four kings refused they were not ready to forgive him for trading their mother without any guilt.
Madhavi then explained the importance of forgiveness to her sons and told them that there was no point for them to hold onto their anger from the past. The four kings then gave a portion of their merits to their grandfather. King Yayati blessed his daughter and grandchildren and returned to heaven.
