Storyboard Text

  • This is a mid-shot using a 'normal' camera angle with an intense shot, in order to capture a knife fight between the hero\spy and vilian\spy. The motion is rather stationary.
  • This is a Point of View shot (POV) from the view of Thornhill after he has pushed the villain\spy off of himself. The downward motion is captured using a high angle shot and a wide shot. The spy is pictured falling off the cilff.
  • Here is medium shot (Thornhill's POV) from a low angle showing his lover Eve and the second spy fighting over a gun. The extreme angle captures the viewer's attention and adds to the drama of the shot.
  • This is a close up shot of Thornhill using a side motion camera. It is behind a rock on a mountain and is a downward facing camera angle. The camera pans down and to the left in order to capture the shot.
  • This is a POV shot from Thornhill's perspective. It is a medium close up shot shot from an upward angle to create the illusion of hight. The camera is stationary as the bad guy pushes Eve off of the cliff.
  • This is a medium shot panning as Roger scrambles across the rocks towards Eve.
  • This is a wide-shot from a high angle (from Thornhill's POV) as he looks down at Eve hanging from the cliff. The motion is downward.
  • This is a wide shot of Thornhill easing down the cliff to rescue Eve. The shot is static. The camera is at a slightly lower angle to again give the illusion of height.
  • Here is an extreme close-up of Eve and Roger's hands as he attempts to grab her and eventually takes her hand. The camera is stationary.
  • This is a high angle medium-shot from the villain's POV as Roger pulls Eve up the cliff and saves her from falling. The high angle accentuates the height of the cliff.
  • It is a wide-angle side view of Thornhill saving Eve from falling off the cliff. It is a wider angle of view from the previous shot. This perspective captures the sheer height of the cliff.
  • This cutaway is an extreme close up shot of Thornhill's hand as he desperately holds onto the cliff. It is a stationary shot.
  • This is another extreme close-up, this time of the villain's foot stepping on Roger's hand. It is an extreme close up to emphasize the pain and drama of the scene.
