- As a leader,I want to look like I am Culturally Sensitive because I think I am. I want to appear culturally responsive to this changing society and implement things I know nothing about.
- That sounds like a good idea. Maybe we can implement things by using fancy words and attending cultural celebrations that we know nothing about. That will make us look good
- Us white middle class men at the top want to appear like we deserve our high pay and that have a sociocultural consciousness. We don't want to look interculturally incompetent. We have a vision to make ourselves look and feel good but we do not have a clear understanding of the issue. We will develop a framework for you to implement even though you have not training or resources. We want you to use technology to do this but we won't provide you with any. That is ok because we will rely on middle class families to supply their own. I guess the other students without technology can watch and we will wonder why they do not do as well. My brilliant idea to band-aid that issue is to throw a bunhc of celebrations on culture day so we are not accused of acculturation. By the way you are also getting 10 more students. Good luck.
- Ok Self Breathe. After lots of reflection and getting to know my students and families. I will use my own time and money to make this work with culturally relevant and responsive teaching
- Look at all these students happy and learning and achieved and without us spending extra budget We are awesome and should reward ourselves with a raise. I hope everyone has an image of me as Culturally Sensitive because I think I am.
- I love my school, teacher and friends.
- I need to get another job to supplement my classroom costs to create a welcoming environment but it is worth it! I am learning so much from my students.
