  • In his story, Vonnegut says that due to the 211-213th amendment, everyone was the same. For slide 1, I made each family identical to exaggerate the alikeness caused by those laws. The 2nd slide is a dialogue makeup between Hazel and George and how the government is watching them closely. In the story, the ballerina had to apologize for the beauty and smoothness of her voice. This is crazy to me because in present time, people do things to beautify themselves, but in 2081 they are required to do things to make themselves ugly/average which explains slide 3. Slide 4 represents when Harrison broke out and made people kneel to him out of fear. Lastly, slide 5 is the very last scene of the story. In the beginning Kurt mentions that Hazel has the mind of an average person and towards the end when realize that the average person in 2081 isn't very smart. I think Kurt was making fun of the knowledge of people in the future. I agree that as technology advances and the years go by, we are relying more on artificial intelligence.
