- ESP103: The Big Project
- Hello Class. I want you to come up with a creative problem, and then solve it with a solution of your own!
- I wonder what I can come up with? ....Let's brainstorm!
- -Long walks to classes with no direction for new students on first day
- -The food quality could be better at the dinning halls

- -Crosswalks are still dangerous even though there are signs
- Let's have a brainstorming session first as one of our ideation tools to come up with ideas!
- -No ability to share music quickly and efficiently with freinds

- Do you mind if I ask you some questions about music for my ESP 103 project?
- I do not get why there has to be such a long link when sharing songs!
- I wish I could send this song to you in less steps!
- I want to be able to dislike this song because wow it is not very good!
- Since everyone was liking my idea at first, I did not do much more research and did not think any more about my idea I had created. I thought it was perfect until....
- I think I need to get some more observations and insights before I proceed to move on with my final idea. Im going to repeat my process again.
- Through my survey I sent out, I got more feedback on my idea and realized I was going to have to go back to the drawing board. I had to rethink my solution.
- I started to then form some insights based on what the students/consumers were telling me. Then, I came up with the "perfect" solution.
- My first idea..
- I would create an add-on to music streaming apps like Spotify and Apple Music
- I am still having issues with the add on idea
- My streaming platforms are saying that it is not compatible to do this
- There is still no place for me to share my songs with my friends
- Wow!
- I noticed that people just wanted a separate app in general that was not the same as the streaming music platforms.
- We want a better app! This way it will not interfere with other companies and their rules!
- Leading me to my final idea: An app that is a social media platform for users to like and dislike songs. They are able to post them onto a stream were you can share them with your friends and determine if they are "fire". This way everyone is happy!

- Takeaways
- 1) When you get that first idea...try and think of other things before sticking with it.2) Feedback is very important because without it, your product will fail because no one will want it. 3) Take the time to use the ideation tools to brainstorm. When you get stuck in the future they will help4) Make sure to think outside of the box. 5) Do not come up with what you think is right but what your research is telling you.
