A poor farmer used to live in a village. He didn’t have much money. He loved pets and wanted one. One fine day, he was walking by a village, and found a person selling pets. But after he went to him, he saw that the man selling the pets just had a hen. So, he bought that hen
And he got the wonderful hen home. His wife got happy.
One day, that hen laid a golden egg. They first got surprised and then they thought of eating it. When they ate it, they suddenly got power. Then that hen laid a golden egg daily.
He thought of selling that egg in the market but then his wife suggested him that instead of selling the eggs, they could wait till they come out of that egg and sell the chicks because the hen would someday stop laying eggs. So, when they would sell the chicks, the person buying could wait till they grow up and then that hen would lay eggs.
So, soon they got very famous and rich also. And the farmer got richer day by day. He became so popular, that more people wanted to buy these chicks, but the chicks were so less in number, that the people started fighting among themselves that who should get the chicks. And then he started getting less money, but he wanted to be the richest.
Then, one of his friends suggested that if that hen laid 1 chick daily, how many would be inside her. So, he cut it, but he found no golden eggs.
