This is a scenario to demonstrate a solution to meet the requirement of "Keeping Volunteers and Clients engaged with SPDL and with the Community at large".

  • BOOKING A TRIP WITH A BUDDY
  • Hello! I'd like to book a trip to the market and doctors for tomorrow.
  • Sure thing! Would you like a buddy to assist with your day?
  • CLIENT PICK UP BY DRIVER AND BUDDY
  • Hello! I'm your Buddy and here to assist you with your day.
  • Hello! Nice to meet you.
  • COMPANY ON THE TRIP TO THE MARKET
  • Here is some SPDL news and information on their upcoming social events.
  • SPDL Reception will make the booking and offer the services of a DriveBuddy. A volunteer who keeps the client company and gives additional assistance during their outing.
  • SHOPPING AT THE MARKET OR GROCERY STORE
  • That was a good market day! The veggies are so fresh!
  • The Buddy will assist the client to the vehicle while the driver waits in the car.
  • TRIP UPDATES
  • I am stuck in traffic and running 20 mins late.
  • The Driver, Buddy and Client will chat on the way to the first destination and share any news they have on SPDL.
  • COMPANY WHILE WAITING IN A SUITABLE PLACE
  • The driver is running late. We can wait here and have a coffee if you'd like.
  • The Buddy will assist with shopping as needed such as reading prices, counting change, packing and carrying bags.
  • The Driver and Buddy are in contact and keep each other updated to co-ordinate pick-up.
  • Great stuff. I will see you then.
  • Okay. We can wait at Joe's coffee house. See you in 20 minutes.
  • The Client is informed and kept company in a safe environment until SPDL pick up.
  • Okay. Please let the doctor know where I am.
  • Sure. I'm on it.
  • PICK UP AT THE COFFEE SHOP AS ORGANISED
  • I've just come back from dropping off a client at a book club meeting.
  • DROP OFF AT THE DOCTOR'S ROOMS
  • Okay, I have one pick up and drop off in the meantime. Chat soon.
  • I will be in touch! Bye for now!
  • WAITING AT THE DOCTORS ROOM
  • Would you like to attend next week's SPDL fundraising event?
  • Yes I would. Please book me in and organise pick up and drop off.
  • How much is a hairdo at the Salon?
  • The driver arrives to pick up the client and Buddy as organised.
  • CLIENT DIARISES THE SOCIAL AND PICK UP DETAILS
  • SPDL Community Fundraising social event. SPDL pick up at 4pm.
  • Drop off takes place at the Doctor's rooms at the scheduled time
  • THE BUDDY KEEPS THE DRIVER UP TO DATE
  • Hello! We are running on time. See you at 4:30pm outside the doctor's office.
  • Perfect! I will be done with my next trip soon. See you then.
  • The Client and Buddy chat and can use this waiting time to do other things such as organise attendance to a social, book the next SPDL trip, look up things on My Aged Care, make video calls to friends and family and more.
  • THE BUDDY AND DRIVER DROP OFF THE CLIENT
  • I had a lovely time. Thank you and see you next week.
  • What is on the news today? What is the weather tomorrow?
  • The Buddy can assist the Client with capturing the correct details if required.
  • The Buddy is in constant contact with the Driver to keep him updated on their timings.
  • The Buddy and driver will return the client and assist with any items as required, and handout newsletters with information on new SPDL services and offers like gift cards, special discounts on bulk trips and loyalty membership.
  • Great! We look forward to seeing you soon. Here is a newsletter with upcoming events and news.
  • BUDDY AND DRIVER HEAD TO THE NEXT CLIENT
