  • Colonial Assembly Decides to not buy British goods after the Stamp Act is passed
  • Yes, Robert. We will. Lets tell teh rest of teh colonies. They can't make any money if we don't buy!
  • We can't let them keep taxing us, This Stamp Act cannot continue. We will boycott the Britsh Goods.

  • The Townshend Act is the same thing! Theyre still taxuing us, just secretly!! Whatever will we do?!

  • I can make paper. we don't have to buy it from Britan! They don't deserve our money.
  • And I can make tea!
  • Robert was attending one of the Colonial Assemblies that discussed what the Colonists were going to do about the 'Stamp Act', a law passed by Parliament that taxed all paper products in the colonies. They decided they will no longer buy those British goods. Robert was angry and felt betrayed by his King.

  • You think you can just tax us without us knowing? Stupid redcoats!
  • Colonial Assemby over the Stamp Act
  • When Britain realized they weren't making any money off of the Stamp Act, they passed the 'Townshend Act', which indirectly taxed colonists. Once Robert figured this out, he were even angrier. But what would he do? What would any of the colonists do to fight back?
  • Someone throws a snowball...
  • Get away from here!! We don't want you! Leave!! Redcoats, Redcoats, Redcoats...
  • Helen, Robert's wife, decided she and the other wives and mothers of the colonies would make everything they needed. Tea? Helen could do it. Paper? Caroline Smith has the booth for that. Britain would not make any money behind their backs! Robert and the other men wouldn't need anything else.. even if the tea was gross and the paper was just decent.
  • 5 dead, The Boston Massacre has Occurred
  • How did this happen?1?! We need to change!!
  • March 5, 1770. Britsh troops in Boston are teased and harassed by Robert and other colonists at The Boston Custom House. Its cold and snowy, and the colonists are sick of being taxed.
  • 9:00 AM

  • Stay away from us!!
  • After hours and hours of tormenting these troops, somebody throws a snowball at one of the redcoats. One of the redcoats immediately shot back, followed by 4 more. Robert's life flashed before his eyes.
  • 6:00 PM

  • Now you'll be even more cold!!!!!
  • Robert knew him and the others took the tormenting too far, but he also knew this wasn't the end. These men didn't die for nothing. He would not let the British tax them or take over their lives. He wanted to be free.
