well mr. baldman and everyone, magnets produce a  field called the magnetic field and this field is responsible for the force that pull on ferromagnetic material such as  iron and steel
the things that are currently attracted to me are attracted due to the fact of the magnetic field and also they contain a ferromagnetic material such as iron and steel

The end that faces the north is called the north-seeking pole, or north pole, of the magnet. The other end is called the south pole. When two magnets are brought together, the opposite poles will attract one another, but the like poles will repel one another. This is similar to electric charges
magnets are used in a lot of things an example given is that magnets lock the seal of a refrigerator and another example is a compass which uses magnets  to help us or guide to the north
Mr. Magnet and magnetism are important because we use them for so much! With them, we wouldn't have electrical energy and many other important things.
