- After a few more lessons, she stated to talk! She had full conversations with Joey. Everyone was so amazed that a blind horse that can't talk made a girl with no voice speak!
- Money was getting to short, Without the money they'll have to shut-down Hope Reins. She then came up with the idea to have a poop-a-thon fundraiser.
- The Poop-a-thon was a success and they had many donations, the ranch was going to be fine. Shortly after the Poop-a-thon, Speckles began to show signs of lameness, which alarmed Karen. He was checked out and his legs were in critical condition.
