Before the world there was nothing but ocean. Floating on the water, with his eyes closed and a giant snake wrapped around his neck was Lord Vishnu. God, asleep and nothing moved
Then a sound began. A slow gathering, a humming, a throbbing itch of energy. AUM...AUM...AUM... Lord Vishnu opened his eyes. It was time to create the world
Lord Vishnu looked out of the calm waters. In that moment, a lotus flower took shape before him. In it sat Brahma the Creator, The Lord's servant.
Brahma bowed his head, and waited for Lord Vishnu's will. "It is time for the world to be born Brahma. Time to begin your work and create a wold that will live" said Lord Vishnu. In that single moment a huge wind gathered and Lord Vishnu disappeared from sight.
Brahma stood up and divided the lotus flower into three parts. The first part was heaven, the second was earth and the third was sky. In a single moment the world had began
Brahma created the earth with plants, grass, trees, flowers , vegetables and fruit
Then he created animals large and small, in land, sea and air. The world was filled with many creatures that could move
Brahma had only thing left to do. The world needed someone to enjoy it and take care of it. He then created a man and a woman. The man was called Manu and the woman was called Shatarupa.
Manu and Shatarupa looked into each others heart, the smiled and held hands and they walked out together into the world that Brahma had created.
