The first step to get your licensed is to pass the knowledge test. You will get your L sign after You pass your test.
Your L sign has to be displayed on the back of your car while your driving. You have to stay a learner for 12 month before you can take a road test.
Your L license has restrictions such as: having a qualified supervisor above the age 25 with a valid class 1-5 license, no alcohol or drugs or electronic devices ,a limit of 1 passenger and o driving between midnight and 5am.

You can get your novice license after you pass your class 7 road test. Your road test will take about 35 minutes. if you pass this test you will get an N sign.
The N sign must be displayed at the back of the car at all times. Now you are able to drive without a supervisor.
The N license also comes with restriction: no alcohol, drugs or electronic device while driving and a limit of 1 passenger unless accompanied by a supervisor age 25+ with a valid class 1-5 license.

to get your full license you need to pass your class 5 road test. you can take this road test once you had your N license for 2 years.
Your class 5 road test is going to be more challenging than your previous road test. You have to make sure you show your examiner that your a safe driver. There is a pre-trip check in which your examiner checks your car to make sure all parts are working and you know where they are. You'll know right away whether you pass the test or not.
